"Magic By the Moon" (2-3 hours)

We have an innate connection to the Moon.  It controls the waters of our ocean as well as the water in the earth.  Why not a connection to our bodies as well?  The Moon changes astrological signs every two and a half days; coincidently that’s also the life cycle of a skin cell.  This class starts with Waxing, Full, Waning and New Moon magic and moves on to discuss what magical endeavors are best paired with which moon sign of the Zodiac.

"Hoodoo: The Magic of Mojo" (4 hours)

This offering from Rev. Amy Blackthorn, a practitioner of Hoodoo and the Wise Woman Tradition of Green Witchcraft, sets out to show how to use the spice rack and household goods around you, Create your own Washes, Waters, powders and products to Attract money, Blend oils to protect you and your family, and land that better job. We'll discuss making mojo bags to carry with you to attain your goals. Not handy with a sewing machine, that's okay! Remember: Hoodoo is a system, not a religion. Anyone of any faith can use these techniques to further their goals. Some people use bulletin boards from "The Secret" to manifest their goals, Rev. Amy will show you how to make a kit you can carry with you to reach your goals where ever you need it! No prior knowledge of herbs required.

Herbal Spell Craft 1 (2-4 hours)

This offering from Herbal Practitioner, Rev. Amy Blackthorn, will focus on the herbs used in spell craft to further your intentions. Spell writing doesn't require arcane components that you can't pronounce, much less find, just some imagination! "Can I grow my own herbs, or do I have to use dried?" "Is gardening Magic?" "Can Herbs be incorporated with other systems of Magic?" "What herbs can I burn for my Patron Deity?" "What are the five most versatile herbs to have in my supply cabinet?" These questions and more will be discussed in this class. At the end of which, we will create our own herbal charms for your specific needs.

Herbal Spell Craft 2 (2-4 hours)

Ever wonder what to do with all of the beautiful and exotic herbs you see in shops and catalogs? In the first Spell craft class, we learned what herbs and symbolism add to your magick. Now we will discuss additional specific herbs, their purpose, and how to blend the actions of specific plants, into the symphony of energy that makes up any good spell. Class fee does include materials, and we will be making a spell, specific to your needs. Please bring a note book and pen to class (audio recording allowed only with prior permission), along with an inquisitive mind, and a need, for your spell.
NOTE: Herbal Spell Craft 1 is recommended for this class, as more advanced topics in magical theory are discussed.

“Aromatherapy for Religion and Ritual” (2-4 hours)

In this offering from Herbal and Aromatic practitioner Rev. Amy Blackthorn, we explore the Ritual and aromatic applications for Essential Oils and Aromatic plants and resins in our religious practice. All faith paths are welcome to explore the hidden potential in their hearts and noses. Rose scented Rosaries, the tang of fresh Florida Water and cascarilla, the lingering odor of Frankincense, the smell of Sweet Grass, or the Ritual energy of White Sage, all scent triggers explored will help the student delve into the hidden realms of scent in Prayer, Meditation, Shamanic Journeying and Rituals of all kinds. Also included in this course will be a practical demonstration on how to test the quality of oil using household items, to know you are getting your money's worth.

"The Green Witch’s Tea Party"  (30 mins to 1 hr)

You won’t even realize you’re learning with this dashing lady of the transmundane!  The fun is in the teaching with this lavish tea party.  You will enjoy proper loose leaf herbal and black teas, being enjoyed in the comfort of a warm and delightful soiree.  Bring your friends and while Tea is being prepared, your esoteric hostess will explain the history, lore and love of the symbols used in Tea leaf reading. Drinking and enjoying the tea infuses it with the energy of your possible futures.  After the Tea is finished, we will explore what awaits you in the bottom of your cup and in your future!

“Two, Five and Seven, The Victorian Flower Oracle” (2-4 Hrs)

“A large rose tree stood in the entrance to the garden: the roses growing on it were white, but there were three gardeners at it, busily painting them red.  Alice thought this a very curious thing…” -Alice in Wonderland
Don’t let the flower kingdom fool you with its bright colors; there are far better things to be fooled by.  With this working of the Mistress of the Metaphysical you’ll learn how to create your own divination tool, personal to you and infinitely more useful.  The language of flowers speaks to the primal part of us that sees colors and reads feelings. Whether an amateur photographer, an accomplished artist, or merely someone with a love of flowers and colors you will go home with the ability to create a divination tool to help you answer all of life’s questions, big and small.

Amy is great! She is not just extremely knowledgeable in many areas, she also knows how to share her knowledge in a fun and effective way. She is also one of the kindest and sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

-Janet M.

I've known Amy a long time as both my instructor and my friend. Her vast knowledge of plants and herbs alone is bar none. She also has an amazing knowledge base on a wide variety of topics from religion, philosophy, politics as well as the more mundane subjects in life such as making home remedies and gardening. A discussion with her is never boring. Se has an open and friendly demeanor but this strong independent woman does stick by what she believes in!

-Tammy R.

Amy is awesome! She is smart, funny, and has so much knowledge to share and she does it willingly and kindly. Whether you are a novice or experienced she has something for everybody!

-Laura C.

Amy puts the G in Green. She has always shared her knowledge of plants, and herbs. She is a woman who does "walk the talk"!

Very refreshing!
